| Oh how I can totally relate to the picture taking thing. My husband gets angry with me about that. Last week end we went on a walk though a very hilly botanical park with my sis, mom, nephew and niece...I was huffn' and-a-puffn' with a beet red face and they were all A.O.K....husband kept trying to take pictures I was freakn uncomfortable and pissed off. itstime, you CAN stick with it. Just make sure you have a ton of premade sackiepoos in the frig. What has been helping me is the stuffed celery (cream cheese & olive tepinade), salmon rollers, salami wraps (around mozzerella), boiled eggs, cut up cucumbers, and celery, and the huge container of mixed field greens all handy-dany in the frig. Oh and the eggless quiche I made and put into snack packs. My friend gave me the scoops....she said "Take the food list with some acceptable recipes to costco and buy your food shelly, then spend a 1/2 a day preparing go-to foods." It's working! Good luck. It's a lot easier when you take it in small chunks instead of taking it on all at once! Welcome to ADBB! |

| Holidays are nothing to be afraid of...you may not be able to eat candy and cookies, but that isn't the real reason for the holiday is it? You can have meat, salad, our version of "deserts" -- I made it through Super Bowl (which is a holiday to some people) and Easter without cheating - it wasn't hard. You need the attitude that you can do this and the power within yourself to make sure you DO make it through everyday. The food is delicious, you should never be hungry and within a few days you'll start feeling much better physically and mentally. Get the 2002 DANDR book and read it -- they are very inexpensive on Amazon. Until you can get ahold of a copy (if you don't already have one) here are some links - one is the acceptable food list -- if it's not on the list don't put it in your mouth! Another is the Rules of Induction - very important to read. The other links are recipe sites you can use to make delicious meals. Good luck.
