Wondering if I should do Atkins

Hi I'm brand new to this forum. I have the 2003 Atkins book, but have not commited to doing the diet yet. I bought the book 6 years ago and did the diet for a week, then quit. Back then I was a carbo freak and the only meat I liked was chicken. My tastes have totally changed and I eat all sorts of meats, seafood, eggs etc. and prefer it to carbs. I was thinking of doing the program again. I am going to read the whole book and think about it. I am also going to read this forum to see what people think, how much they are losing, and general info about the program and how to follow it.

Nice to meet you. If you ask me if you should do it my answer would be YES. I am doing it and I love it. It is good that you are taking the time to research it though. Many people start Atkins and really do not know what it is but you will. Let us know what you decide. It will take commitment that is true.

I am new to this whole site as of today. I was wondering about the atkins diet too. However, I'm sure I will be judged once I tell my weight. I am 20 years old, 5'2, and I weigh 120 pounds. I would like to get down to 110. This is still normal for my height range and I want to be a healthy 110, so I don't see any harm in doing this. I did weight 108 in high school and i've really let myself go since then. I have not bought the book yet, i'm still really on the fence about it.
