| Well good morning, wishing you both luck and I am impressed with the 1 mile walk that is so awesome!!! one for you and one for your hubbie, hope to see you around...ps. I don't recommend giving up the veggies (constipation) Will you be taking vitamins?

| Weclome to the board, Keria! Good for you for taking charge of your life and your health!!! Do you have the 2002 edition of the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution? You will learn from it that this is not a high protein diet, it's a high fat diet. And veggies are a very important part of the lifestyle. Please read the stickies at the top of the forums and the Induction threads in the Atkins Phases forum to learn what you can and cannot eat. It's very important to do the first 2 weeks right and if you do, I'm sure you will be amazed and delighted at your results! Good luck to both of you! |

| Thanks for the warm welcome! ![]() I am hoping for success stories from people that started this over 400 pounds, that dropped a ton of weight super quick! We are hoping to start trying to get pregnant in the fall, so I really want to get as much weight off as I can, quickly!!! ![]() Anyway, I am so glad I found this site, looks like I am going to fit in well! |

| On this site, we follow the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution book. The bars and other products are not advised. They are from the Atkins Corporation, not Dr Atkins recommendations. But, Induction does recommend 2 cups of salad veggies and one cup of other veggies daily during Induction. Atkins is not all about meat. High fat and veggies are an inherent part of the plan if you are going to do it right. Welcome. The folks on this site will steer you in the right direction. |
