Default Yet another newbie

Hi all!
I am yet another newbie with the same problem you all have.
A little about me if you wish, since I have been posted for a few days now.
I am newly retired from owning a small retail shop here in NJ.
One reason I retired so early is that my health was waning. I had been gaining weight for the past 6 years, just a little every year. I started this diet at 166 nd now am 160 today, I am feeling pretty good right now. It has been along time since I really lost weight I am determined to continue.
You see I have Hypothyroidism no big deal millions of us have it but it is a big deal in the weight area. Just a few short years ago I was a size 6 now I am a 12, I am not used to using forums and this one seems a little confusing but I am sure I can handle it.
I am looking forward to taking this journey with all of you.
Have a good health day today
Rosemarie

Welcome Rosemarie! Pretty soon you'll start feeling ALOT better. It takes a week or so, but there's nothing like it. By the second week, I felt about 15 years younger...and it's all energy and clarity of mind. It's wonderful!

hi and welcome Rosemarie! If you have problems getting around the board just ask and someone will be more than helpful! I'm glad you found this family and have already been successful! If you haven't seen the recipe sites you'll really enjoy them - make sure you are eating the right quantities of food - FitDay is invaluable for me. Drink at least 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added - only water), and start some type of exercise immediately. When I first started I would barely make it to the corner and back ....now I bike 10 to 20 miles a day (stationary bike), walk several miles at a time, and have several fitness DVD's I do.

Good luck!
