Default Super Motivated After Induction!

I've decided to stay on an extended induction
A) because I have so much weight to lose
B) because it's been a huge motivation to lose 17 pounds in 2 weeks

I probably have the worst job in the world, as far as compatibility with Atkins, I'm a pastry chef but I've already gotten into the routine of making other people taste things.

Welcome Cupcake and congrats on your great loss!!!

Yes, working with pastry all day would be hard at first but after you're on Atkins for awhile and see how much better you feel without the carbage, you'll lose your taste for it!

Keep up the good work!

Good Job Cupcake! I am at the end of my 14-day induction today But... I am going to do Extended Induction as well. I have lost 7 lbs, but probably due to a slow start. I forgot I was no-carbing on day 2 I'm on the right path now...

Actually 7 lbs is very good and shows that you have an average metabolic resistance (check the table on page 158 of DANDR). I suggest you re-read Chapters 12-13 before deciding if you continue with Induction or move to OWL.

You should not be "no-carbing" on Atkins. Are you eating the required three cups of vegetables?

Jawdropping....pushing it shut. WoW! Pastry is my TOTAL weakness! I have been good 5 weeks, lost 1 lb, but the inches coming off and getting in smaller clothes helps.

Good luck to you and you will have alot of inspiration and support on this site. Check out some of the before and afters...its mind blowing!

Keep Happily Turning Purple!!!!!!

great job cupcake -- I cook for my family (who are not on Atkins) so I know the temptation you are facing daily but just remember - that pastry has no hold on you - you are better than that! You're doing wonderfully - keep up the great work.

Wow! That is inspiring! If you can do so well and have to make, smell pastry all day, I have no excuse when I only have to feed me and (babyfood) to my son!
Thanks for sharing! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much! I've found so much information and support on ADBB.

I'm hard at work coming up with some "legal" dessert recipes. I'll be sure to share them when I come up with a winner.
