| Welcome, Janet ![]() Great job on making your kitchen an Atkins-friendly zone... I've found that doing Atkins has a LOT to do with where your head is at... meaning, once I finally accepted that this way of eating is for life and not a race or just a means to lose weight, I was able to loosen up and just live my life without anxiety. Having a plan and getting your kitchen stocked and ready will make things so much easier. Happy Low-Carbing! |

| welcome Janet -- you are lucky to have family who have done this WOE and know it works. Once you get through the first few weeks and your body is use to eating this way you will wonder why you didn't do this a long time ago! I feel so much better today than I did at the beginning of the year and am still going strong. Good luck to you -- if you need anything all you have to do is ask. | Janet, I'm new here, too (just today, actually) and didn't want to start a new thread. It looks like our goals are about the same, that's kinda cool! I'm Jennifer, 34, on day 5 (and down 4lbs, woo hoo!) of induction. This is the longest I've lasted on this program ever. I am confident I can do it this time. I've been so good! |

| Thanks Liv, nothing had happened at all until yesterday - day 5, maybe 1/2 a pound. The 2nd day I actually gained a pound, but I guess it just takes time to kick start it. I bought the Ketostix and I am in Ketosis according to them, so that's good. On day 3 I was in moderate, now it says large - not the darkest, but the 2nd darkest. I'm good with that.
