| Hi Polar and welcome. If you approach this as a permanent new life, and not a temporary dietary detour you will keep it off. There will be bumps along the way and maybe it won't happen overnight, but you will get there and best of all you will feel healthy and full of energy. If you haven't yet read the book, do get it and read it cover to cover. There is a lot of good information there and it is also a great motivator. And post here often--helps keep us all accountable and motivated. Be sure to check out the Induction stickies for the basics as well as some terrific hints to make your journey easier. Glad you have found us. |

| hey laughing polar bear -- glad you have been lurking around and know the drill pretty much. I'm glad you have a doctor who believes in the plan - that's a HUGE advantage many of us don't have. Make sure you are eating only induction friendly foods, drink a minimum of 64 ounces of plain water and start exercising today - if you follow the plan as it is written you will have great success! Here are the recipe sites to get you started - good luck and remember, if you need anything we'll here to help!!
