| hi and welcome back non -- check the STAC group for extra support. Hopefully you'll be able to make life long changes in your eating. I stopped smoking 3 years ago on July 4th -- after putting on a few pounds to begin with they're gone and I don't miss the cigarettes either (that's after 35 years and 3 packs a day). Drink 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added) -- and start exercising today!Check out these links for help. Good luck this time. Here is a thread that will give you loads of information to be able to follow the plan correctly. | Hi non, think of the gain from the cigarettes as a temporary blip. You can and will get back to your thin self. And this time you will be healthier without the smokes. |

| That made me snicker! LOL!! Thanks!! ![]() I am living proof that KNOWING the program and APPLYING it are 2 entirely different things! As we all know, when you fall off the wagon, the fall can be quick but painful or last for years and be VERY painful. ![]() I am SO glad to be here- I think at this point I can do this to goal and stay there. If I can quit the cigs after 30 years, I can stop the sugar carbs! It is an addiction to me just like a drug. And there ARE other things to eat...this forum is living proof that it works. ![]() I am walking a mile every day- and need to get my Richard Simmons tapes playing in the morning again! I love him....he makes me want to dance and sing and we need that!non |
