| Welcome Anne Marie. We use the 2002 version of Dr Atkins book here. I think you will find this a lively informative forum. As you know the first week is the hardest but be sure to come here and ask questions and get support when you need it. Carole is another hostess here and she will post some terrific links to help you too. We have several members in the UK, Ireland and Europe that can help you with conversions, shopping and translations of carb counts as well. |

| welcome back -- stay from processed foods (like the shakes and bars) - eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink plenty of pure water (nothing added), take your supplements and exercise...it's really that easy. Check the STAC for additional support Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet. Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of this page http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/ Check the recipe sites also - they are very helpful and will help make your meals so much more enjoyable. | Thank you to those who replied. Well I have two days done and I'm doing fine. An omellette with cheese usually makes me feel guilty so it was such a treat having one today . For dessert after dinner I had rhubarb with a dash of cream. I'm going for a walk now. I love to walk and I run a bit too but at the moment I'm resting an aching back so running is off the list. On Thursday I'm going to be away overnight as I'm going to an Eagles concert so if anyone has ideas about snacks I'd really appreciate it. I'll have a 4 hour bus trip from 11am Thursday which could be a danger time. |
