| I am trying to figure out what ADSD stands for Here are my thoughts Atkins Diet Super Dudes Atkins Diet Special Debaters Anyways welcome. How come you're not following the diet as written?

| Sorry for the rushed typing job I meant to type ADBB. Thanks for the welcome! I added in some high water content foods(veggies and friuts, and eating them at certain times of the day and properly combining them helps the food digest and eliminate) that were eaten in Biblical days by humans whose bodies were in excellent shape. Not trying to steer anyone off Adkins, but I did want to share with others whom the strait induction was kicking their butts. |

| Happy this worked for you BSF, but for the sake of other newbies reading, I need to steer things back. We go by the 2002 DANDR book on this site, so be advised that bigsix's plan could have an entirely detrimental effect to someone else. The foods added may start cravings, may stall you, and are not as recommended by this site. |

| Maybe this is the South Beach Diet you're doing? We do stick to the Atkins diet here> a But I agree with Sham if it works for you that is great.

| If I was you I would be eating every night at central BBQ in midtown, Their pulled BBQ and dry ribs and/or chicken is great for us low carbers. I have worked in Memphis a lot and found central to be the best BBQ place I have ever tried and I have tried a lot of them.But If I ate fruit I would find my appetite to roaring back. |

| I agree with Jill -- there are a small group of people who welcome all the newbies each day -- we tell them about the good book (DANDR) and are here to answer quesitons when they stall or think they are stalling....a lot of times we hear they are eating things not allowed on induction so when someone like you comes along and posts they are doing "their own version" it sets us back again. Congratulations to you for loosing weight BUT please don't say you are following Dr. Atkins plan because you aren't.....if and when you stall please remember the plan was written, and should be followed as written for a reason - it is what worked for a large percentage of Dr. Atkins patients. The book has been a lifesaver for many of us because we read it and followed it as written.

| Hiya, i think it is great that you have lost that much weight, i'm on my second day of induction and i am kidding myself that i can feel the pounds falling off already..lol Whatever you are eating is obviously working for you. Well done and stick in there. Karen x |
