| Hi and welcome to ADBB Rob -- I hope you have a copy of the 2002 DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) book, that is the edition we use on this site. Here is a link for the rules to help you until you can get a copy of the book (Atkins Diet Induction FAQs)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html – it’s a condensed version of everything you’ll need to know. Don't forget to measure yourself so you'll know where you started - many times if you stop loosing pounds you will be loosing inches so it's nice to know where you started. Make sure you drink 64 ounces of pure water minimum a day....more is better - nothing added. Check the recipe sites for ideas on what to make to keep from getting bored with chicken breast everynight...lol! Good luck to you - if you need anything just ask. | Thanks for the links imagood1. I found Linda's site here and the never ending induction menus thread. Great stuff! I have my first two weeks planned out but of course may switch meals here and there to satisfy what i want that day. I do love chicken though. ![]() Yep, i have the 2002 version of DANDR. Love it and always go back to it with questions i may have. I have always drank water but not the amounts required by this WOE. So far so good though. 96 ounces day 1 and 128 today as i was outside doing yard work. ----------------- Hey Mick, thanks for the welcome! |

| I'm proud of you so far!!! Keep up the great work. The water will keep your metabolism up and will help your body shed the fat and nasties. It also keeps your internal organs functioning smoothly. If you'd like to join the water challenge we'd love to have you -- you pledge the amount of water you'll drink daily and then come back and post the amount you've actually drank. There are exercise and non-exercise challenges all over the board here -- check them out also!

| Hey Jill, thanks! I went with my wife on a brisk walk/jog yesterday afternoon. It was "fun". ![]() Its funny, i run a small home repair business and i thought i got lots of exercise in during a typical day. I was wrong! I'm not giving up though! We go again tomorrow and I'll try to chase her down again! ![]() |

| Welcome to the board Rob. I expect both of us can have great success on this plan with a little willpower. We're both starting at about the same weight so I'm hoping you stick it out for the long run to help both yourself and me -- if I see someone else having success I may think twice about falling off the wagon! Even your avatar works well -- as a State grad I have only to see one of your posts to sicken the stomach and keep from eating!
