| Welcome to ADBB! There is no need to eat eggs for breakfast and it also depends how you cook those eggs. You can make a quiche with veggies and have some of that for breakfast, for example. Anyway, any food from the acceptable foods list is a good breakfast food, for e.g. leftovers from the day before, soup, a salad with some protein and fat in it, Revolution Rolls... If you are hungry, have a snack between breakfast and lunch. It's also not uncommon to feel a bit more hungry during the first few days, until ketosis kicks in.

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource. Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Thanks so much for the advise I guess I was just think typical breakfast stuff instead of mixing stuff up on the list. Does starting this diet make you have afeeling of being a little off, unsettled or slight dizzy? I feel tired and off, somthing I cant put my finger on outside of hungry but not in a emergent kind of way. |

| There are many ways to eat eggs so don't totally come down on them - experiment a bit. I like to make nice scrambles where I can throw other things into and it is lovely. I like them with cheese and mushrooms or with smoked salmon but there are so much you can do. There is also egg creams that is a nice alternative for breakfast. Here is a thread we have on in http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...breakfast.html (eggnog shake for breakfast!!!) But as G says. It has to be savory - those carbs have to go but it does not have to be eggs. Now that I am on OWL I actually do not eat eggs that often anymore. Good luck. Hang in there. When those pounds start coming off - it will all taste so much better. (Nothing taste as good as thin feels

| I make a mock danish for breakfast that you won't believe has eggs in it....it is wonderful -- try it!! Mock Danish one serving 2 oz cream cheese (2) 1 large egg, beaten(0.6) 1 packet Splenda(1) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract(0.3) Put cream cheese in a small, microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high for about 1 minute or until softened. Remove from microwave. Stir in the egg, Splenda and vanilla extract into the cream cheese. Put back into microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes. Total carbs: 3.9 grams Fiber: 0 grams Net carbs: 3.9 grams Cheese allowance: 2 Sweetener allowance: 1 *Note: Cream cheeses vary in carb count. So be sure to check your packages. Also note that some people add a tablespoon of fiber supplement to their Mock Danish to give it a more "bready" (sturdy) texture. If you do this, you MUST include the the fiber supplement carbs. Also here is a link to the recipe sites so you can vary what you eat and won't be bored! Good luck to you. The recipe sites are helpful for meal planning – just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with. http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html (Linda’s) (Never ending induction recipes)(Never ending induction recipes)(Never ending induction recipes)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/58513-never-ending-induction-recipes.html (Induction recipes) (Induction Recipe Basics--More recipes added)(Induction Recipe Basics--More recipes added)(Induction Recipe Basics--More recipes added)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/6807-induction-recipe-basics-more-recipes-added.html (Induction Recipe Basics)
