Hi and welcome! Induction is not appropriate for pregnant or nursing women. In the Atkin's book (2002) it states pregnant and nursing women should only do the Maintenance phase, not any of the weight loss phases. Here is a link to the pregnancy and nursing forum where you might find more information. Pregnancy and Nursing - Atkins Diet Hope that helps a little.

I know you would like to be losing now but for your health and your baby's nutrition you should be focusing on the maintenance phase. So eat a lot of veggies, and for carbs use wholegrains and low glycemic starches and fruits. We'll still be here for you when you are able to start the Induction phase but for now it would be best to wait.

First of all.. yes, welcome.. and secondly Congrats on doing the breastfeeding! That is awesome for you! but .. also, as you've read.. its not advisable for you to try any of the weight losses...my wife had to wait until both of our children were done with their breastfeeding to try to loose weight, but now shes going forward! Good Luck! and.. also, early congrats on the wedding!

Thank you all for your advices that I will certainly follow. From monday on, it will be the maintance phase, and when my little one will no longer depend on my nutrition I will then start with the induction phase. It is amazing to see how people stand for others here, all good luck in meeting your objectives... A little question, is there a place on this site where I can find logbooks of people, so that I can see what others have been doing? Many thanks and kind regards, Martine
