At the top of the induction page you’ll find a condenced version of the book which is pretty much everythig you need to know to start before your copy of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution book arrives (I hope you are ordering one!) - (BEFORE you begin the Atkins Nutritional Approach...)(BEFORE you begin the Atkins Nutritional Approach...)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/5781-before-you-begin-atkins-nutritional-approach.html.

Just remember, if a food isn’t listed on the acceptable food don’t eat it. Look at the ingredients list of everything at the grocery store and check the ingredients against the acceptable food list -- just because it says "low carb" doesn't mean you can eat it.

The recipe sites are a helpful meal planning tool – just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with.

Hi everyone. Thank you for responding.

Yes, I have a copy of Dr Atkins book (2002) and a copy of his cookbook. I have been lurking around this site for a couple of weeks and have learned a lot. Also found some yummy recipes.

The thing I miss most about the diet is bread. I always used it to fill me up. I have made muffins from a recipe I found here and they were good, filled me up a bit. Does anyone have any good (easy!) recipes for bread?

I'm looking forward to spending some time here and to getting to know you all.

Thanks, Alison

Hi & welcome. Have you tried "Revolution Rolls"? Those are the usual bread substitute...Once you climb the carb ladder, you will have more choices.

Hi Julie,

I am from Sydney and have lost 10kg in 4 weeks on Atkins, I think the only good bread is no bread. It is hard but after a little while following the strict diet of the
book will see you lose weight. If we don't follow the book we really can't lose much
weight.

Cheers Paul

Hi Paul, 10kgs in four weeks, fantastic.

Yeh, I have to come to terms with the bread thing, I know. It will get easier I'm sure.

Thanks, Alison
