Eireamy is on a distinguished road
Default Home again, home again, jig-a-jig-jig

Hello all. I am a re-newer. I lost quite a bit of weight a few years ago with this wol but for some reason, that seemed good at the time but I can't even remember now, I went back to the terrible way I was eating to gain all the weight in the first place.

Well, the universe has been leading me back here. First I was diagnosed with PCOS which is linked with insulin resistance (best way of eating...hig protein, lo carb) and what did the doc suggest? Birth control and cut my stomach in half. Next my wieght jumped over a number I never thought I would ever see...the dreaded 300! I remembered the last time I was actively looking at 200 being a close goal and it was when I was on Atkins. Last week I was at a library and as I passed the free to give away books, the first one I saw was Dr. Atkins' Superenergy Diet so I picked it up and have been reading it. Then today I received a notice from Tom about the board being back up (I, of course didn't even know it was down) and when I got back on, there was a wonderful birthday wish from Elizellen. She noticed it was my special day even though we hadn't been in touch here for over a year...maybe two. So, this sounds like a place I need to be.

Being on a board with friends and support has made all the difference in past attempts, so I just need to tear myself away from Facebook once in a while and come here to center.

Looking forward to meeting you all.
Amy

Thank you.
I WILL be seeing you around the boards!

Good to see you posting here, Amy

I don't know if you used to visit the 'Second time around club' forum last time you were posting here, but it is a great place to get encouragement and advice when needed. Our STACers are a welcoming crowd so do pop on over there when you have time

Hi and welcome back –

Don’t compare what you lost or how you did “the last time” your body and lifestyle isn’t the same as last time – follow the plan the way it is written, exercise, drink plenty of pure water (64 ounces minimum daily – nothing added) and you’ll be on your way to loosing before you know it.

Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support. Check the stickies at the top of the induction forum to refresh your memory on the plan. (BEFORE you begin the Atkins Nutritional Approach...)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/5781-before-you-begin-atkins-nutritional-approach.html.

The recipe sites are a helpful meal planning tool – just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with.
