| Thanks guys! Got the book....I'm pretty familiar at this point (sadly) with Induction and all the in's and outs and what I can and can't have, what stalls me, etc....I've just gotta STICK with it this time! One thing that makes it even harder is I'm married to a guy who went to Culinary school and is a big food person and is part of a big food family - Basically, picture the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding - except they're not Greek, they're Irish. lol. So it's like everything we do, revolves around dinner and food and eating out and his mom is always baking....it makes it about 1,000 times harder than it EVER was before to get started because I can't even get through a few hours without them starting in on me about food and eating.....so yeah, that's hard to deal with too.

| But you have to keep your goals in mind. This is about you. And you need this. Have you talked to your DH about how he can support you. I mean with a culinary background there must be all kinds of legal stuff he could help you prepare just using his imagination, skills and knowledge. And you should still participate in the gathering just make sure that you eat only what is legal. We can still enjoy eating on Atkins. We just have to be choosy about what things we eat. You need to use your will power and not blame the situation

| Other things aside, you live in one of the best states for exercise. My family moved to Colorado from Florida this summer. The pride that Colorado has in its outdoor activities is amazing! Good luck on you journey!

| @liv - That's what I'm going to try to do, get hubby involved in helping me cook new things with legal foods...he needs to lose some weight too, so I'm not going to push him into it but I'm hoping if we're both just eating better, he'll get more into it along the way on his own. Luckily he has nowhere near what I need to, to lose! @chauber - I do live in a great state for exercise! There's so much to do outdoors and such beautiful places to do it - I want to get in better shape so I can get back into doing those things more, like I was more able to when I weighed less.
