Exclamation My reason

I have toyed with starting Atkins for a while now, so I joined this board and read up on it.
My reasons for wanting to start atkins is, I have been on other diets before and they have always left me feeling hungry and have never really worked for me.
and I also have low confidence etc and I really want to make the change for myself.
People say things to me which I think they think they are being nice, but saying things like "you would be a stunning girl if only you lost weight" that hurts, so I started atkins today and for the rest of my life.

welcome! Hopefully, when it all comes down to it hopefully we are all doing this for numero uno! Sticking around here you will notice that most of the time everyone is sooooo positive and upbeat. If you get in a rut, drop by, drop a line, and someone will *smack* you back in line, or make you laugh....lol!

Welcome! I have only been doing Atkins for a couple of days but I promise you, you will not be hungry if you stick to the plan! If you've done other diets, it is a bit mind bending to understand that if you're hungry, you should get up and make eggs instead of having a celery stick on induction but honestly, you'll never be sitting there starving waiting for your next 200 calorie "meal" or whatever

Welcome to the Atkins Board.


Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise starting today and taking a multi-vitamin. If you haven't already, read the 2002 Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR). You'll have the best success if you follow the plan the way it's written - and reading the book will give you the information you need to do your best.

Eat the foods on the acceptable food list and find delicious recipes here: just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with.
