Default Hello

Hello everybody!

My name is Dave and this is the second time I will be doing Atkins. I did Atkins back in 1997 and had good success with it losing twenty pounds in two months. Since I got married and got is a rut, I have put on some pounds and am now up to 204. I am entered in the Disney marathon in January and would like to lose 30 lbs by then. I have already finished 4 half-marathons with times ranging between 2hrs 29 mins and 2hrs 45 minus. I definately notice that I need to lose the weight to make it easier on my joints and to get my run times down. I am 39 and 5-9" and would like to get at least 20lbs lighter by the time I turn 40 in November and 30 lbs by January. Also, I would like to cut my run times by at least 15 mins.

Hi and welcome back to Atkins Dave --

Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so don't compare what happened before or what's happening with others.

The plan works when followed the way it was written -- hopefully you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase one.

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!
