Default Hello everyone! Newbie to the forum

Hi,

I am new to the forum, I did Atkins about 7 years ago and lost all the weight plus some that I gained from just eating late and eating bad. Now slowly the weight has begun to creep back the last 2 years. I have to admit I have been eating carbs (bad carbs) like nobody's business and it is showing! I REALLY want to do this again, but I don't have a buddy to do it with, like I did last time so I'm hoping this forum will help me. I'm open to any tips you may have for someone just starting, and yes I will search the forum for tips already listed.

Hi! Welcome back! My tips are just to come to his website often, get through the first 3 days without messing up, and don't 'scale jump' -- weighing yourself once a month is enough, I think. Otherwise it can be discouraging. You can do it!

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Many of the challenges are starting in the next couple days - look around to see if there are any that interest you and join in - it's always easier to keep active if you are accountable and the challenges do that!

The plan works when you follow it the way it was written -- hopefully you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
