Default into 2nd week and feeling good...

Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all the encourging words I read everyday. Into my 2nd week and feeling pretty good about myself. (Down 6 pounds). I tried to reply to the 20 pounds down - and to be honest still trying to manuever through the Posting.

I have been happily married for 43 years, have two wonderful children (Boy & Girl) and been blessed with grandchildren. Life has been good!

Been overweight since my 40"s, putting on more pounds each year and feeling bad about myself. Been thinking about the Atkins, watched a lot of friends lose and look great...and now is my time to shine.

I am a Breast Cancer Survivor of 3 years and my biggest concern is how the Atkins Program would affect Cancer Survivors. Tired of being sick and tired of being sick and tired so I bought the "BOOK" and in the process of reading front to back. Again thanks to all of you out there for all the words I read each day and keep them coming.

Hi and welcome --
Great news about your loss this far - good for you. New challenges are starting tomorrow so you are here at a great time if your interested in any of them.

Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise starting today and take a multi-vitamin.

You'll find wonderful recipes here: just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with. Vary your meals so you don't get tired of eating the same thing over and over -- we have too many choices for that to happen.

Thank you so much for those encouraging words. I am drinking 100+ oz water daily, doing some stretching exercizes, using free weights. Also take a multi-vitamin and calcium.

Love Linda's Low Carb Menus and Recipes, thank you for sharing - marked as one of my Favorite Places. Going to make the Cream Cheese Clouds tomorrow - I am a cheese cake addict....
