| Well I wish you luck. I find that this is one of the easiest "diets" to follow especially for those of us who like to eat. Have yet to feel deprived and its been about 5 months. I too was a cheerleader and never weighed over 120 through highschool and years beyond that. The weight slowly creeps on for sure. Stick to the plan and you should do great!!!

| Welcome Sus. Great that you are starting the problem. And yes I was/am that kind of eater too. I sometimes call it serial eater. I have worked hard on changing those habits because I know that not only did I eat some crap/carbs but I ate all the time. It is getting better. When I started Atkins I had to place water bottles all over the house because I often found myself with the head and hand in the fridge or in the food cupboard. That really helped. I also covered up any thing snacky or in worse case scenarious got rid of it. I hope you find something that works for you. Good solid meals is one of the things you learn to do on Atkins and that also helps eliminate snacking.

| Hi and welcome – Glad you decided to join us, you won't regret it. I hope you have read the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution book -- it's best to have all the information you can have for the best success. The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - eat enough vegetables - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Many of us use www.Fitday.com to track our food so we know what our carb totals are for the day. It's important you know what you are eating and how many carbs you are taking in each day.
