Talking Start of Something. [Introduction]

Hey everyone,
I'm a newbie to this site. :]
Been going through ups and down
with this diet for 2-3 months now,
but I truly believe it's for me,
and it's my ticket to weight loss.
So, that's why I won't quit.

I feel discouraged that I've
been so yo-yo with it, but
it's just I've been busy and
frustrated I haven't been able
to keep my mindset and right
to pursue my greatest desire:

To be thin.

And I don't mean it superficially,
well, kind of, but not in complete
vanity. :] I want to be healthy, active,
fit, and look nice in clothes, ha ha. Stuff
like that.

I've been 150 most of my adult[& teen] life,
I'm 5'6, so it's not an amazing weight for
my BMI, but it suited me, and then some events
led up to me gaining 45 pounds. D: I got up to
195! It was ridiculous, so I started running,
extreme cal. reduction but as we all know,
it failed. So I started Induction after my mother
had told me about Atkins and low carb, 10 pounds, bam,
off, I was doing so good, but then I fell off. :[ Lost
motivation and gained some of the weight back.
So I'm back at 182, ready to start and FINISH.

My end of December 09' goal is: 32 pounds, 150.
Then my long-term goal is 130. :]

I'm tired of being this way.! I want people to say:
"You look great." not "Has she let herself go?"

ty for reading. any advice is welcome.
motivation too.

Hi Kitty, have you pinpointed the cause of the yo-yoing? Usually it is you, not the diet. If you aren't sure what is going on, posting a day's menu in the review my menu section helps. Sometimes others can find things we don't see ourselves.

Welcome

I agree with Jill - post a few days worth of your meals (amounts of each food, ie 1/4 cup mayo, 1 ounce cheese, etc).

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - eat enough vegetables - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Many of us use www.Fitday.com to track our food so we know what our carb totals are for the day. It's important you know what you are eating and how many carbs you are taking in each day.

Any and all questions can and will be answered - all you have to do is ask!! Good luck.
