| Welcome back!

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource. Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Welcome back to Atkins. Now you know--it isn't a program that you quit. It is a lifestyle choice that will always require monitoring. Like any other permanent condition, a propensity for weight gain on carbs isn't something on which (sadly) any of us can turn our backs. It will work again although you may see your body respond differently this time. We have a Second Time Around Club in our support section as well as a Century Club that deals with those wishing to lose 100 pounds or more. There are also exercise challenges and lots of other support areas to explore. Wishing you success this time around! |

| Welcome back -- Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise starting today and take a multi-vitamin. If you haven't already, read the 2002 Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR). The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - eat enough vegetables - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Many of us use www.Fitday.com to track our food so we know what our carb totals are for the day. It's important you know what you are eating and how many carbs you are taking in each day. Recipe Sites http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html (Linda’s) (Never ending induction recipes)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/58513-never-ending-induction-recipes.html (induction recipes) (Never ending induction recipes)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/58513-never-ending-induction-recipes.html# (additional induction recipes) Any and all questions can and will be answered - all you have to do is ask!! Good luck.
