| Welcome to the Atkins Board. This is a delicious way to loose weight! I see we are the same age - welcome - we need more "over 50" ladies here!! Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise starting today and take a multi-vitamin. If you haven't already, read the 2002 Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR). The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - eat enough vegetables - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Many of us use www.Fitday.com to track our food so we know what our carb totals are for the day. It's important you know what you are eating and how many carbs you are taking in each day. | Hi sports,Welcome to ADBB. Its probably a good idea not to weigh for awhile. On this plan more than others my weight tends to bob up and down the scale more. But I also lose more in the long term too! |

| thank you, i do feel very welcome. i am reading 'dr atkins new diet revolution' and 'atkins made easy, the first 2 weeks.' even my family and friends are noticing changes in my appearance and my energy level. i feel quite exited |
