| Hi and welcome back to Atkins -- Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support. Hopefully you aren't breastfeeding -- if you are you should be following the manitenance part of the plan until you stop. A slow down in weight loss is normal after the initial water weight your body releases. You are ready to add an additional 5 net carbs of vegetables on OWL Rung 1 -- take it slow and learn what foods don't bother you and which ones you'll leave to watch out for. I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin. Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Good luck.

| Yes. It is normal. During Induction you are losing a mix of water and fat. By the time you enter OWL your losses are pretty much fat only so it appears slower on the scale. Also many people experience a slow down and/or a short stoppage of weight loss in the weeks immediately after Induction. Stay on plan and wait it out. Your weight losses will start again, though not at the same level as Induction. |
