| Welcome Vera, the best advice I can give is to read the book cover to cover. Skip the Atkins products and go for real food. Drink lots of plain water, stay away from sweeteners if you can, and be sure to eat enough and eat your veggies. I know it is hard when all that stuff is staring you in the face but once you get used to eating Akins it gets easier and easier. |

| Thanks for the advice. I have read the whole book and even re-read some parts. I find that my biggest problem is water. I feel like I need to force myself to drink 8 glasses a day 'cause I really never feel that thirsty. But I know water is important so that's what I'm going to do. |

| I just keep a full big glass nearby and sip all day long. As you drink more, you will actually want more so that helps. And your bladder adjusts over time too. There's no logical reason for it but for many of us, the water intake goes hand in hand with our losses. |

| Welcome Vera - Glad you've read the book already - that puts you ahead of many people who are just starting. The new challenges will be starting in the next few days -- check them out and join a couple that interest you. A minimum of 64 ounces of PURE water (nothing added) is mandatory as you've read in the book -- like Jill said, it will get easier to drink and you will actually start enjoying it!! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: (What are the Rules of Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?) The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Good luck.
