| Welcome. So if you are starting tomorrow and have read the book (You get an A+ for reading it ahead of time--keep it handy for reference) then you have shopped and planned out your menu for tomorrow, right? Planning ahead with emergency snacks, etc. is the key. Drink a MINIMUM of 64 ounces of plain water, limit your sweeteners to 3 portions a day, and eat your veggies! You will be off to a great start. Try to take measurements today and read your scale first thing tomorrow--then put the results of both away for 2 full weeks. The scale will bob up and down so don't make yourself crazy. Days 2 and 3 tend to be the worst. Stick it out and you should start feeling great as the first week ends. |

| Thank you Chinadoll. Great Advice. I did read the book and it really got me motivated. I didn't want to start until I was prepared. I think the hardest for me will be to give up tortillas and soda. Everything else hopefully will be a peice of cake or make that a peice of Brocalli... lol. I love meat and I do good with vegetables. So I started my morning with 3 scrambled eggs and a few sausage links and I am down 16.9 oz of water for breakfast.. 3 more bottles to go for the day. I do have the tendency to weigh myself everyday and I get so frusterated, but I told my DD to put the scale away for me and I will ask for it in 2 weeks. She said ok. I also took some before pics and Aaarrrgh, I just about cried... they were terrible. But I won't post them until I lose at least 20 lbs. I want to see the difference. Thanks again Chinadoll. And I see u r down 14 yourself... congrats and good luck to you as well. |

| Welcome! My advice would be to drink 1/2 your current weight in ounces of water ... so that would be around 130 ounces. 64 ounces is only the MINIMUM ... more doesn't hurt! Also ... try to have vegetables with every meal ... it's easy enough to put some in scrambled eggs.

| exercise challenges, as well as other types like reading the book. I'm currently in the following challenges: situps, pushups and squats. I'm also climbing a mountain [very slowly], and will be starting a Wii challenge in November. Just look in the main forum for challenges - the sign up for November is just starting. |
