Red face Working towards a New ME

Hi.. My name is Decca (desa)..
I am on a weight loss goal. It is time for me to become healthy. I do expect myself to have a hard time with this new eating habbit. Do to the fact I will be the only one in my house that will be making the change. I have read the Atkins book to make sure that this is something for me and it is.

Welcome!

I'm sure the other people in your house will be jealous of your food before long!

There's no reason they can't eat healthy, too!!

Hi Decca, are you the one who will be cooking? If so, it is much easier.

I do hope that they get jealous of the food..

Well I talked with the house hold. They are not willing to change. So the best is for me to cook my meals for the day myself. Then i dont have to worry how they cooked and what they put into the food they have made..

Yep, that is usually the best way in the long run. I try to do large pots and split it and freeze some so I have a ready meal in a hurry (and it is less work)

Hi and welcome Decca --

Glad you've read the book - that is a great advantage you've given yourself.
Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

The new challenges will be starting in the next few days -- check them out and join a couple that interest you.

I make meals for myself and my family. Usually we have the same meat then I add the carby foods they like and the great food we eat on Atkins for my plate. There are some meals we all eat that are Atkins friendly but not always. Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: (What are the Rules of Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?)

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!
