| Welcome to the Atkins Board. I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin. The new challenges are starting for the month -- check them out and join a couple that interest you. Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: (What are the Rules of Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?) The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Good luck.

| Welcome to the ADBB, shar! Just remember that the things that made you fat are not your friends! Water and veggies are! The diet is so full of filling foods that it's easy to stick to if you just stay away from the bad carbs. Good luck to you! |

| Fingers are usually the first places you will lose weight (well likely the water you carry around from eating too much carbs) so when you cross them - just look and check Welcome to ADBB

| There are lots of links to recipes on this thread: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ns-budget.html (Atkins on a budget ...) Things you can take to work for snacks include boiled eggs and cheese if you have access to a fridge, salads if not available in your canteen, tins of fish (don't open until you are ready to eat). Plus some recipes e.g. slice of Linda's broccoli quiche (yum). Link to Linda's site is in that other thread.
