Smile I'm new to the board!

Hello everybody! I was very glad to find this board, but I'm sorry to say that I will have to give up the Atkins way of life for a little while due to the lack of money for food. Life is hard for us right now and there is just really nothing we can do about it. Hopefully it won't be for long because I really need and want to live this lifestyle forever. So if you don't see me here on the board for a while, just know that I will be back to get to know you all.

Now with all that out of the way, I should tell you about myself. Well, I'm a mother of 2 and a wife of 1. I've been married for 13 years and my daughter is 11 and my son is 8. I am a photographer and some what of a computer tech. I love to scrapbook and read lots of different kinds of books.

As for my weight and health, well that is a very long story so to make it short, I've always fought to not be fat and needless to say I have lost that fight more often than not. Right now I have been trying to do the Yeast Diet because of yeast infections and other illness'. I also have been doing Atkins induction before the yeast diet for about 4 weeks. I have lost 27 lbs and have 59 more to go and I will get there, just not real soon.

Anyway, thanks for having me and I hope to get to you know all better. Good luck to everybody with their Atkins lifestyle.

Nice of you to introduce yourself.
I hope your circumstances change for the better soon. maybe even if things are very tight you can make sure you make the best choices possible. Sometimes you can find good deals on fresh foods and proteins.
Let us know what happens and I hope you can be right back into the fold soon.

Thanks so much Liv!

I'm going to do my best to make the best choices no matter what, but you know that's not always easy. But don't worry, I'll be back on this horse as soon as possible. I won't be able to last very long on unhealthy foods. My body doesn't deal with them too well. Right now it will just be real tight and I will have to go pay check to pay check.

Hi and welcome!!

If you watch sales at the stores you can really save a lot of money on groceries. Also, if you live close to an Aldi grocery store you can save a lot on produce.

I hope you'll be able to join us very soon! (Fingers crossed for you!!) While you are waiting I hope you will read the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution - I went on www.half.com last week and ordered a "used" copy -- for $1.05 -- I received it this morning and it had never been opened!

Look at the recipe sites, you won't believe the wonderful recipes you'll find!! I swear I never knew cauliflower could be used so many different ways. I've found vegetables I never heard of that I find I can't live without now! I have to stop myself everyday from overeating vegetables -- something I never did before.

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Like I said above, fingers crossed you'll be joining in real soon.

Just a little update, I'm glad to say that I'm still making the best choices that I can right now. It's not easy, but I'm doing it. I will reach my goad one way or another. Right now I'm losing about 1 to 3 lbs a week even with not having all the right foods, so I guess that's not too. Thanks for all the support everybody and Carole, I'm going to check out those site you have listed and thanks for the tips.
