| Hi and welcome back to Atkins -- Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. The plan is more than just induction - there are 4 phases so once you get through the 2 week induction period it's time to move on to OWL and start adding foods back. I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin. Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: (What are the Rules of Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?) The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! The new challenges will be starting in the next few days -- check them out and join a couple that interest you. Good luck.

| Welcome to the ADBB, Roxanne! Just follow the plan as written and you will succeed! It's really not that hard to do once you get past those first few days. I find that looking for new recipes and trying new foods helps to get me into the right mindset for avoiding the dreaded carbs so be sure to check out the recipe forum! |
