| Hey Bulldog! You look good to me but I'm sure you're gonna look like a million bucks when you get to your goal weight!! Don't worry about the lack of beer....once you get through a clean induction and move on to OWL you can add a couple beers back in on rung 5. I'm glad you have the book and have read it through the induction chapter - that's the greatest gift you could give yourself -- the knowledge of how the plan works. Once you get a couple days under your belt and your cravings are gone you'll be surprised how easy it is to eat this way and once you get the starches and sugar out of your system you are going to feel like you're 20 again!! Here are a few things to remember for the plan to work best: Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin. The new challenges are starting for the month -- check them out and join a couple that interest you. Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: (What are the Rules of Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?) The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Good luck.

| Welcome to ADBB Kenya looks nice. Thanks for the introduction. Great that you are reading the book. It will explain what you need to do. I hear you on the addictive personality - so true for many of us. Well maybe you can be an addict of low carb. It would sure keep you thin. Yes no beer. Big step. For me it was no chocolate and no coffee. I was not sure I could do that.

| Hi Bulldog, welcome. Mine has a different cover but the title looks right. The key is the copyright date. If it is the 2002 version you have the right one. |
