Oh that is great to read.... especially about the metabolism humming along.. and maybe stepping up the pace! I am all for that! This is encouraging to hear. I really do need to reread the book. Thank you Sunny for posting this! (((Hugs))) Sandy

Glad it was something you could use, too, Sandy. It sure took a lot of my worries away! I just finished dinner. I just had chicken with lettuce and bell pepper since I had such a big lunch. Am hoping it will hold me till bedtime. Still have 4 glasses of water to go. I didn't space them out like I usually do today. No exercise for me today. Sunday is my rest day. I'm glad, too, because I had calf muscles that were sore this morning, but they feel great this evening. So I'll be ready to go in the morning.

Great reminder Sunny, I do think you have to eat at least every 6 hours though, which has never been a problem for me.

Lynne, I DO have to eat very often... usually every 3 hours, maximum 4. I usually end up with 5 mini meals and a snack. Try to work it where I can have a bigger dinner so I don't feel deprived. I did get hungry before bedtime. So I had another decaffeinated coffee with cream with 2 t. coconut oil. It helped immensely.

Yesterday was day 4 for me but I slipped up. The company I was expecting cancelled early in the afternoon so I ended up getting bored and overate. Most of it was legal except the peanut butter and the 2 small bites of Harvard beets. Today I'm being extra careful and I've already exercised for 1 and a half hours. Sunny, thanks for the info on the ratio of fat to protein because I had forgotten about it.

Nyna, I think the exercise covers a lot of little mistakes! I am absolutely sold on eating the higher percentage of fat. My results are amazing. Today I could pull out my jeans' waistband far enough for my whole hand to fit inside, and the jeans are starting to feel baggy. It's a wonderful feeling!

Wow Sunny, I am almost identical to you as far as calories go.... above 1800, and I gain or stall, 1400 and below to lose for me. It's hard to keep it that low however, for me anyway. You are a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for all the helpful info. And, congrats on the baggy jeans! Doesn't it feel wonderful?!

I have slipped into a pair of shorts this evening that haven't fit me in a LONG time.... yes, it DOES feel good!!!! I know I'll do better tomorrow. I just have to plan out my mini meals and not leave anything to chance when I start feeling hungry. I was trying to keeps the carbs and calories a little lower earlier in the day, and I know better than that. It never works for me.

Today was a lot better. I kept the calories to 1332 and don't feel hungry. And that included my flax seed cookie this evening. It makes such a difference in how content I feel. I like the idea of splitting moderate exercise into two sessions. The walk earlier, and then working in the flower bed seemed to keep my metabolism up without draining me.
