I am in shock! (good shock) :)

I had pretty well resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to go on thyroid meds.

But Dr. Atkins says a minority of people with sluggish thyroids who have a tyrosine deficiency are helped by tyrosine, so I decided to give that a shot first.

My order arrived today. I ordered acetyl l-tyrosine because it's faster acting.

I was really feeling down this morning... another rainy day and just general blahs accompanied by brain fog.

I took ONE tablet (300 mg) and within a few minutes, it was like I was a different person. The brain fog was GONE. I felt GOOD. And I have felt so energetic all afternoon... rode my bike and didn't even feel tired after it.

So now it's after dinner, and I still feel just as good!!!

I don't know how much it will affect thyroid function, but based on one capsule, one day, I am definitely giving it a shot.

I have never in my life taken anything that had such a profound effect!!!

I just took my temperature.... MORE SHOCK!!!!

It is 98.6!!!!!!!!!!!!! Up from a norm of 97.6!!!!!!!!!!!

That means it is DEFINITELY affecting my metabolism!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well ok!!! You've got me excited!!! I'm wondering if Walgreens actually carries this. Sounds like if it can raise your body temp and make you feel that good, it could make some things move!! Hmmmm...will study up on this!

Everlosing, apparently it only works this dramatically if you have a tyrosine deficiency. I would love for you to have the same results!

Wow! Hook me up! Actually, way back when I went from too skinny to more than pleasantly plump in a few weeks, my doctor tried me on the prescription stuff and it didn't help. He said that the more he upped the drug, the more my thyroid backed off on making it for my body, so I stopped taking it.
