Default Thread problems 2

Hey everyone,

Just a little update to say I can't access lots of things still, including 'Problems With Certain Threads' so I can't see what people have said about the problem!

Could someone please PM if I need to take action and to let me know what's happening?

Also I can't access various challenge threads - but I'm still doing the exercise! Everyone in the October Pushups thread I'll get in there asap

Ditto to what Lauren said. I would suggest you try clearing your cache and seeing if that makes a difference.

If you type a web page that includes the www. at the front. The 3 w's. IE will access the cache of the web page stored on the computer hard drive.

It does this, so the web page will display quicker. IE already has downloaded the page layout code, the pictures in peoples sig files. Instead of downloading the same bits of data again and again.

So, if you remove the the www part of the address. Just the www, keep the http:// bit and the atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/ part too. Just wipe out the the www, then that forces IE to go and download the whole web page again.

You might have some data corruption.

As a first step, can you just remove the www, then hit the F5 key to reload the web page, and report back on the result.
I can help more, if you let me know the result.

Plus, are you using a public computer in a library, or your own? If you own have you made any changes recently? Added any new software, even if it's not related to the internet.

P.S. I hope your computer allows you to read my reply.

Hye people,

thanks for the reply

I can read this but might not be able to again - as threads which are ok become problematic later.

How do I clear cookies? I look it up somehwere, but any hints useful.

This is a work computer - but I've also had the same problem at home on my own laptop and with the same threads...bizarre.

Hayden - in another window I just tried what you said - went went to ADBB and clicked on the 'Problems with certain threads' earlier post and took out the www - it seemed to reload, but then shut down anyway.

Some threads are fine and load like normal. No other websites have had any problems.

I'm going to look at cookies. NB I might not be able to read this thread again.

Okay, it's not a cookie problem. Your result showed it not a cache problem.
I think someone is linking a photo or linking to a website that has a problem.
So when the ADBB web page loads, it goes to get the image, but has a problem and then crashes.

I'm glad I found this! It started yesterday for me also. I went into the 2nd time 14-day induction restart thread (not sure of exact name) wanted to put in my goals etc for October. The thread always kicks me out of internet explorer all together! I've already deleted all files, etc and restarted but to no avail....
