how come I can't view my older posts?

I used to be able to go back and view my posts from when I first joined the board, but there seems to be a limit on how many old posts are stored...is there a way to view them or are they gone?

the posts themselves are not gone.

pretty much, you can only view the last 500 posts. if you do a specific search, however, you could view more.
