| Congrats! Yeah, I had my doubts in the beginning too, but my cholesterol numbers have just kept improving (and my BP and my thyroid too). Nowadays, I'm not as concerned about the numbers, especially since I've been reading alot of research lately that cholesterol isn't as big of a factor in determining whether you develop coronary heart disease as the hype has led us to believe.

| Thankyou! I had been worrying about my Thyroid before I had gotten my levels checked because I was feeling really sluggish and tired but I'm glad it's getting better. I've heard that Adkin's can help Thyroid disorders in some cases so hopefully it's working for me. I was so scared that my medication wouldn't work and that I wouldn't lose weight but I'm just so freakin' happy right now! |

| That is a myth. atkins will not assist Thyroid production not utilization of thyroid hormone. Some of the foods most Atkineers eat can actually interfer with your thyroid levles if it is new to you or eatten in higher amounts then you used to have. they are called groitrogens and stikied at the top of the forum. SInce you were feeling sluggish did you doc do a complete blood workup? if so did they find anything else you were deficinet in? some times Atkinners because they are drinking so much water get their water soluble vits and minerals out of balance and need extra supplementation but your doc can tell you what you need based on your blood work. Mine told me I needed extra potassium but not calcium.
