| depends on which of the thyroid levels were elevat4d as to what it means. If your TSH was elevated then you are have a demand for more thyroid hormone being made by your body. if your T4 and or T3 were elevated it means you have too much thyroid hormone. either way more follow up blood testing is needed unless you had a complete thyroid panel dones and then again it depends on which value is elevated.

| If you are on a thyroid med and lose weight, then your FT4 and FT3 levels will be higher due to too much thyroid med for your body weight. Your TSH would go down, meaning the same thing - too much thyroid med for your weight. Every time I lose weight I go HYPERthyroid and doc has to reduce my medication. (Less fat, less med!) |
