| HI, There is no relationship that I know of between thyroid problems and atkins. It is just people who have an underactive thyroid or Hashimoto's thyroiditis have a much harder time loosing weight and require hormone replacement. I can tell you from being in the medical field and having a multinodular thyroid, keep on top it. Thyroid nodules can turn cancerous, and also, it doesn't matter what your age is. I see young people with thyroid cancer all the time. It is a good thing you had a FNA and had it checked for malignancy. Have it ultrasounded on a regular basis. You will be fine.........Dawn |
