Does it have any sugar or other starches in it? Read the label carefully! Prenatals also tend to have quite a bit of iron in it. Ideally, those on this WOE don't need the extra iron, but that's really up to you. Otherwise, prenatal vitamins are pretty good!

I actually didn't read to see if they had sugar or starches. I'll definitely look into it! Well, last time I did atkins I became anemic so I think the extra iron will only help. Thanks for the comment

The extra iron is usually "Poo-Poo"ed on (pardon the pun) because of its constipating predisposition. However if I remember right many prenatal vitamins are manufactured with a stool softner to prevent this. I was searching through the food list and I was really surprised by how low many of the acceptable foods are in Iron!! While a piece of London Broil has 51% of your daily reccomended allowance , a chicken thigh only has 5% of your daily allowances. I always thought that dark meat was richer in Iron. 1 cup of spinach has 38%. 1 cup of Broccoli has 7% 1 hard boiled egg-9% 1 pork chop-7% 1 oz Salmon- 1% 1 cup Tuna fish salad-11% Without a love for Beef I can see how someone may have difficulty keeping thier Iron levels up. There has to be something in the "book" on this. Anyone know?
