Multiple vitamins help to bridge the nutrient gap in our daily diets. smelisa, I went to the Now website to look some of their supplements and although their labels say "no salt, sugar," etc added, one can't help but wonder about some of the other "unusual" items.

For example, on the website, I searched for "barley grass" and you can purchase it alone as a supplement from them. It does have some carbs in it (but you also have to take quite a few tablets for a serving size). Ditto for their spirullina supplement. As far as how many carbs could be in your current supplement, we can only speculate since NOW does have calories/carbs and other nutritional info on their label.

Since you're in induction and only limited to 20 carbs a day, it may be prudent to try a different supplement that lists its carb content (hopefully at or near zero). That way, your 20 net carbs can be used for food instead of part of it going toward the your supplement. You can then switch back as you add more carbs to your diet.

Best of luck to you!

Hey there For what it's worth (and I'm not a biochemist or a pharmacist or a PR person for the following company, even though it seems like it, since I keep mentioning them!) Swanson Health Products makes a pretty good line of supplements; I take their Active One Multi capsules (available with or without iron; I get the iron-free) ... it doesn't list the carb count, but since I've got a high metabolic resistant and am still losing, it can't be too bad I like this brand 'cos it's got a fairly high dose of B vitamins and chromium, and costs $7.99 for 90 capsules (and I always order them online). I take a lot of other supplements, but this is my mainstay.

There are many good brands out there. If you want a name-brand, there's Swanson's like Norah suggests, Nature Made, and Centrum...just to name a few. Just be sure to carefully read the label.
