I don't know how I missed your post! Sorry about the delay in answering! Which vitamins you take is a personal thing. Atkins recommends that everyone should at least take a multivitamin, which you're doing. If you wish to take the other supplements in your list, those are all approved according to Atkins' list of supplements though he recommends taking more than 1000mg of omega3. He also endorses extra vitamin B. Atkins has a really good book called VitaNutrients. His writing is down to earth and very clear. He discusses the various nutrients, why they are important, how much we should have, etc. He also has "recipes" of nutrients to help with a variety of aliments. Your local library may have a copy.

They look pretty good, except check the One a Day Womens to make sure it doesn't have iron. The only time we should take iron in any form is when recommended by a doctor.

im sorry if this sounds ignorant....but is this rule about Iron only for us doing Atkins? or does it hold true for anyone, even those not doing Atkins? because our Kirkland Multivitamins which my husband takes (and doesnt do Atkins) has iron.

It holds true for most people including those not on Atkins. Granted, if your doctor has declared you anemic or such, then iron supplementation may be necessary. Here's a link of a post I wrote about iron which you may find helpful: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...uss-about.html (Nutrient of the week: IRON--what's with all the fuss about it?) Hope that helps, but if not, feel free to ask further questions.
