| Dr. Atkins has an excellent book on supplements called "Dr. Atkins VitaNutrient Solution" In it, he goes into down-to-earth details of the various nutrients important for our bodies. Also, the last section of the book details "recipes" of what nutrients to take for various conditions including high cholesterol. You may wish to check the book out from your local bookstore or just thumb through it at the bookstore if you don't wish to purchase it. that will give you a good idea of what to look for when you're at the store. |

| Red Rice Yeast extract was once very popular treatment for high cholesterol, but unfortunately the FDA, not trusting us to know what was good for our own bodies, banned it. . You can still get it in other countries but the quality of some aren't regulated. The stuff I have been reading said that you should, 1 get at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise a day, eliminate any transfats in your diet, drink green tea and at least one clove of garlic a day, but fiber and Omega 3s. and Co Q 10. I do know that when I exercised on a regular basis, my good cholesterol when way up. ![]() My favorite vitamin online shop is Buy Discount Vitamins, Supplements, Low Carb and More at www.Vitacost.com. I think it's about the cheapest of all the on-line places. |
