Omega-3 is okay to take in addition to your multivitamin, but choose your source(s) of omega-3 wisely. Flaxseed oil for example is not a wise choice, imo, because the kind of omega-3 it contains needs to be first converted into a kind of omega-3 your body can use; the conversion is not very efficient (below 10%, so for 10 g of flaxseed oil you get less than 1 g of "usable" omega-3).
