Elsi - in case you dont see my response in your buddy thread - click on the link 'Edit Tags' at theright hand side of the Tags box at the bottom of a thread then add your tag words and click on 'Save'
No idea about the linkbacks as I havent come across those yet. Maybe you can pm Tom and ask him?Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Tags & Linkbacks
Thanks so much Elizellen! I tried it and it worked. EASY PEASY! LOL! Now if I can just get those darn linkbacks to stop coming to my email. I will see if Tom answers here first before I bug him as I asked in his tag thread and some others did also but they didn't answer. It is a great idea! Thanks again.Elsie150

Re: Tags & Linkbacks
And I just figured out how to post a visitor's message! But now I have to figure out if it goes back to the person who left you the message in the first place when you respond, or do you just post it in there visitor's message box?? (did that make sense???).~Lisa~

Re: Tags & Linkbacks
I think you have to visit their profile page and leave a visitor message there for them. (At least that is what I do)Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Tags & Linkbacks
Yes...you have to go to their page to leave the message and then you have to keep checking to see if they answer you...you aren't notified. I personally like to PM instead.Elsie150

Re: Tags & Linkbacks
Regarding Link Back Emails:
When I first signed up, I was getting email for link backs as well as responses to any thread I posted in. It filled the inbox quickly!
To rid myself of this, I went to my User CP (first link on left in blue bar at top), then to Edit Options along left side in the Settings & Options section. Under Messaging & Notification, there is a drop down box where you can choose your Default Thread Subscription Mode. I set that to No Email Notification (then Save Changes at bottom of that page!) and haven't had any emails from this site since (neither link back notices or new post notices).
I suppose it's an all or nothing option as far as I can tell. If you want to continue to get email for new posts on threads you are subscribed to, perhaps setting the drop down box to Daily or Weekly notifications would limit emails to a digest format which would at least be less annoying.
Hope that helps until Tom can give you the more correct response!Eric

Re: Tags & Linkbacks
I just discoverd today that if you do respond to someone on their profile by leaving a visitor message that you can view the 'conversation' between you both by clicking on the 'view conversation' link beside the message left on your own profile. It then shows you each of your messages in order and does make for a 'conversational feel'.Originally posted by Elsie150 View PostYes...you have to go to their page to leave the message and then you have to keep checking to see if they answer you...you aren't notified.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Tags & Linkbacks
As far as I can tell, a link back is an automated action by the board that adds a "bookmark" to any thread you post on. The link back is the "copy" of that thread in your User CP list of subscribed threads or the Portal pages list of New Posts. I think you get an email if you add to an existing post or begin a new one. But that's just my hypothesis!Originally posted by quotidianlight View Postwhat is a link back anyway?
