Hi there,
I'm new. I just posted my introduction on the intro board and have come over here to the Induction board to ask a few specific questions.
My husband and I start induction tomorrow morning. I've been gearing up all week by preparing a menu plan for the week (Linda's site is awesome), getting our supplements in order, shopping for all the ingredients and cutting my caffeine intake in half. Next week I'll cut the caffeine even more and by the third week should be off of it completely.
After my first big grocery shopping trip for Atkins I have a couple questions.
1. Every single kind of bacon, canadian bacon, sausage and ham I found is cured with sugar. I didn't buy any of them. I wanted to check with you guys about if that's ok. If not, how/where do you find these items that are induction friendly?
2. Mayonaisse. I looked at Hellman's and Kraft (the only two non-low-fat mayo's in my store) and both of them listed sugar as an ingredient. What brand do you guys get?
I live in a large city (Minneapolis, MN, USA) so I have access to a lot of stores. Thank you in advance for your help. We are so excited about beginning our new WOL, and I want to do it right.
