  • Buddy List Aug 11 and onwards

    We welcome anybody who is looking for some buddies. This thread is for those that want a place to interact and support each other and get support. Of course if you find that it helps you to just pop in to say you are still on plan then feel free to do so. But we would love to have you interact with the group!! All stages of Atkins welcome!

      LOL, we're all just special kind of buddies. same as your WEIGH to go! Silly lady!!

      Just checking in to say hi and subscribe. Also noting a personal goal of watching my cheese amounts. I think I'm fine (~2 tablespoons cheddar, and 2 string cheese today) but for some reason I just feel the need to be cautious about it. And no more doughnuts. lol. I don't want to get into a daily habit of having one, even though w/o the glaze it's fine..
      So I won't hesitate no more, no more

          morning...had sort of a breakthru this weekend... sundays are hard dont know why. but i was hungry all day so i just kept eating all day long... however 1. only induction foods 2. only 3 oz of cheese 3 i even got my salad in
          today the scale is up a pound but its shear volume not that i cheated... im sure it will be down again tomorrow, or so... its a breakthru in that i only ate what i was supposed too... it was a binge, but of all the legal foods.

            Good morning everyone.

            Yesterday, DH and I were excited to see we hit the 21-day mark of engaging in this WOE. One more week and we do our first weigh-in, before moving onto OWL. I'm scared.

            I've been working out everyday now. I didn't realize that the exercise challenges would motivate me so much. I can and see the muscles building in some areas. I'm just wondering how much weight that will add to the scale.

            Sugar - congrats on not binging on junk food and sticking with induction foods. That's definitely a breakthrough.

              carmella - congrats to you and your dh... keep up the good work- have you measured ?? that will help if the muscle doesnt change the scale like you'd like.

              think 1 lb fat = basket ball 1lb muscle = softball... just keep repeating to yourself :
              i want to be a softball i want to be a softball i want to be a softball believe it or not 200 lbs of muscle looks a lot smaller than 200 lbs of fat... so even if the scale doesnt change all that much.. measuring will help ! keep up the good work

                I haven't measured. I know I should have done that when we started. I actually need to get some tape measurer.

                  Sore this A.M. but a good sore! think I'll take a rest day and start back in tommorrow.

                  sick" or "I have a cramp" or "I can't go on! your killing us!!"

                  but I know they are just joking!!

                  Monie-hope the "blues" pass-remembering the good times is rewarding in itself...

                  Elsie--need you to practice your ABC's and 123's

                  WTG Sugar--overeating "those" foods will quickly be absorbed and you will be right back on track!

                  Caramella--I also think the Tape and you both will become very good friends! Hope your big day is BIG!!

                    Sugar...that is a huge accomplishment!!! I understand completely. Keep up the great work!

                    Carmella...way to go on the 21 days with DH. So good that you can be there for each other. Measure...especially with the exercise. Or at least dig out a small pair of pants as a goal and try them on.

                              yeah, I'm looking forward to that. I hope it's forever. Unfortunately I've been in this situation before. I've lost as much as 40 pounds and been on plan for as long as 4 months, but still slipped and gained it all back. Not sure I'll ever feel "safe." Participating in the forums has made a big difference this time around. Just having this group to commiserate with and to cheer me on has made a world of difference.
